This journal is 8.75" by 5.75" with a 2.25" curved spine. It contains over 300 pages of coffee/tea stained paper, which include ledger paper, drawing paper, parchment paper, and steno notebook paper. There are also various vintage book pages, vintage encyclopedia pages, vintage Edith Holden book pages, and other vintage ledger pages as well. There are six signatures. In the center of each signature there is a large pocket or a large handmade envelope. The front cover has raised reliefs of roses and leaves. The roses have rose gold gilding on them. There is an ornate metal plate as well. I left the plate blank, so its owner can write what they would like. I incorporated a lot of sewing on the pages throughout the journal. There are also a lot of pockets and tuck spots. Inside the back cover there is flip out mini folder. A lot of the pockets in the journal are made from vintage authentic Library of Congress library catalog cards. There are also several vintage 'Trees of North America' tea cards throughout the book. I did not add ephemera to this journal, but there will be some sent along with the journal to whoever purchases it. I want the journal to be a place for its owner to add their own ephemera and writing. What really makes the journal beautiful is what its owner adds to it. Please allow for a shade or two of color variation. Every computer monitor renders colors a little differently. This book is completely made by hand. The cover is not from an old book that has been altered.
