Super durable. I bought this bag in 2012 and have traveled around the world several times. Just last month one of the zippers broke and I needed a new one and decide to buy the exact same one because it lasted so long.I just ordered this to replace an identical bag from 12 years ago! Lots of compartments to hold computer, accessories and papers. Arrived in a timely manner.I bought this bag some time in Dec. of 2004. I use it to carry my Inspiron 9100 laptop. As those of you that also own that machine, you'll surely know the weight of the 9100.This bag has many compartments. The laptop fits perfectly into the "sleeve" that fits into the bag (as seen on the 3rd picture when you click on "see more pictures"). However, there's another "sock" like padding cover that does not fit a 17'' laptop no matter how you try to fit it. I found no use for it. The padding inside the bag is still sufficient even though I couldn't fit the extra padding. It seems that this bag runs into a poor design with its shoulder strap. Although the bag seems like it is made to carry a heavy laptop, the strap has very little reinforcement. It ripped at the center of the strap where it contacts the tip of your shoulders. That part of the strap is made of stretchable foam material. The material adds comfort and a little more support on your shoulders (hence they claim it feels 35% lighter). The only problem is, this type of material is not strong enough to with stand the weight a Inspiron 9100 + the power supply and not to mention anything else you would like to carry to work with you.To sum it up, I wouldn't recommend buying this if you have a heavy laptop. Maybe the owners of the newer Inspiron 9200 can find good use of this bag. If you own something like the Inspiron 9100 or XPS, don't bother. If you continue to read the other reviews, you will notice that I'm not the only person who experienced this problem.I recently bought a 17" MacBook Pro and had a relatively hard time finding a case I liked. I bought a Targus backpack, which was high quality, but just too big. I wanted a messenger style bag, but couldn't find anything that I liked and was somewhat sturdy. I talked with my brother who has this exact case and has used it for about a year. During that time he's made several international trips and the case has stood up to the punishment. With his recommendation I bought the case.Things I like about the case: it's sturdy, the contour side is nice when but isn't a big selling point for me, there are plenty of small pockets; there's enough room for files and a couple of books, the price on Amazon is good, the strap has a stretch pad that is comfortable, and my favorite feature is the case within a case. This second case provides excellent protection for my Mac and can be used as a separate case. What I don't like: when I ordered the case, the first one had a defective zipper - Amazon was prompt with the exhange, but it left me a little worried that the zippers might be a problem over time. So far they are fine.I ordered this carrying case because a I have a heavy 17.4" widescreen laptop. I felt it was too heavy for my current case and that it wasn't being protected as much as it should. I got this case primarily for the contour back for easier carrying and the apparent heavy duty protection. The carrying case exceeded my expectations in several ways. First of all the, the contour design made carrying the laptop easier than I thought it would. The 17.4" laptop fits great and is well protected. The biggest surprise was the organization capability for extra hard drives, USB cables, flash drives, etc., etc. The front compartment has 6 open pockets and 3 zippered pockets plus the pen/pencil holders. The zippered compartment for passport, receipts, etc. is a real convenience. There is also a divided section for business papers. The back section has an open pocket and 3 zippered mess pockets. I decided to put my large power supply and cables there. Any other bag would result in a very uncomfortable carry with them up again my back. With the hard construction of the contour back, I don't even know they are there. The laptop even fits into its own case that can be removed separately. Oh yes, the back has a pad for fitting over the pull handle of your suitcase. More features than I ever imagined. I would get this case for any size laptop.I've just gotten a E1705 Dell laptop - it's got a 17" screen and is significantly larger than my last machine. This new machine fits very nicely into this bag, and the "Contour" feature of it is effective too. I really like the nesting handles too. While it doesn't lack plenty of nooks & crannies to stash the bits & pieces you need with your box, it's the power brick that never seems to have a suitable place in laptop bags, you know?Things fit all right in this bag, so it's not really a problem, but my old bag has rigid plastic panels in it that really gives it some strength to prevent any screen damage, and the power brick fit nicely within that framework. While this Kensington bag has plenty of padding, the lump of the power brick seems to be a focal point for a potential screen-killing disaster. To me, this is a problem of all bags I've seen, and 17" screens are way too sweet to let something bad happen to them...I'm completely happy with this bag otherwise!Well not sure about this bag due to the only review about the size of laptop it will hold, sotook a chance. The design of the sleeve holding the laptop is elastic in the front so it is designedto hold your laptop tight which is a good thing. The pocket will hold my Dell 702x with no problems, sizeis 42cm wide by 29cm high so quite large. The main zip goes round this with no problem and makes the fitting very secure. The build quality is excellent and the number of pockets very good. After being concerned I would say the way it holdsmy laptop is the best thing about this bag secure making the rest of the bag very usable. The bag looks to have been damaged and all they have done is covered them with the same material as the inside of the bag. The thing is that the sticky back of it doesn't stick at all and will easily come off. These should be covered with the same black caps that are on the rest of the bag.Returning back for a replacement.I chose this bag based on various reviews on other sites which rated it very highly for space, storage and weight distribution and also dimensions which suggested it would fit my laptop comfortably. The storage and weight distribution are good, plenty of pockets for stationery and enough room for a couple of A4 binder files (not a lever arch one), however I recommend that you measure your laptop very carefully.Mine is a Sony Vaio AR51M, measuring just 16.5" across, by 13.5" deep. It is a VERY tight fit. The zipper barely clears the corners of the laptop and the separate inner protective sleeve it advertises isn't anywhere near suitable for a 17" laptop. In order to get any protection you have to remove all of the velcro inner padding from the sleeve (which I don't think would fit a 15.4" laptop) and even then you can't close the zip, so I'd forget all about the pull-out aspect of the inner sleeve all together if you have a 17" machine. If your laptop is one of the heavier ones around like mine, and you only need to transport it occasionally, then this bag should be fine provided you're not bothered about the inner sleeve, but for those of you who travel around with your laptop regularly, I'd look for something else.I'd say if your laptop is any larger than 16.0" wide by 13.0" deep, look elsewhere. BUT - If you're keen on using the inner sleeve properly, then don't even think about this bag if your machine is more than 12" deep. It simply won't close.Measure carefully.Excellent Quality and looks great. I thought I would struggle to replace my old bag that I loved, but this took its place straight awayHo scelto questa marca per la fama che ha, e perché ho una kensington saddlebag fantastica.
