This works perfectly. It has a wonderful battery life: it runs on a single AA battery and has an auto-off function that makes the battery really last. I've been using the mouse for 10 months and haven't changed the battery once. The graphic on the mouse is stunning, complex and quite intriguing, it gives the mouse a really nice look. The most important thing is that, while it is small enough to easily store anywhere and hold, it is still very comfortable. The very small USB receiver fits nicely next to the battery underneath the removable top cover of the mouse. The mouse buttons also function very quietly and with ease. My only small complaint is that the 4 directional scroll wheel makes it difficult to perform a scroll wheel click without accidentally scrolling sideways. I use the scroll wheel click for a few Mac shortcuts so it bothers me a little, but it wouldn't be a problem for most people. Great buy, especially for the price.
