I love the color that is shown online for this product, and I know computers can alter the color slightly, but this blue book is not the beautiful soft powder/pastel blue that is shown. It's a darker muddy blue. In my opinion, it's not very attractive. I was very disappointed and returned it. The quality is perfect and a good weight for carrying around and protecting my journal, so I bought the Mocha one. It would have been nice to have a sleek, not bulky, fastener. That's the only complaint I have. I don't like the fasteners most journals have, because you can't slip your journal in your pack or bag without catching it on something. I settled for a piece of elastic at the fabric store, which is covered, to put around it to keep it closed. It's smoother than a rubber elastic and doesn't grab as much. Hope this helps you. Except for the color thing I'd give this product a 5 stars. I only know the blue one is not as shown, other colors may be fine.I looked at about 100 different "journal" type notebooks. I wanted one that was refillable. Most of the leather covers I had seen (and ordered) only had about an inch or two of leather that held the refill in place. I didnt want that because everytime I opened it, the insert would pull out. Then I found this one. Its perfect. You can slide the refill into deep pockets on both sides and not have to worry about it slipping out every time you opened it. It fits any 7 x 5 refill you can get at the drug store for a couple of bucks! The leather is gorgeous. It has a nice dark brown color thats saturated and even. It has a nice feel to it, soft yet a slight texture to it. Its made very sturdy and feels strong. I think this will last me forever. The only thing I would of liked is if this had some kind of closure, like a string wrap or insert buckle. I just use a large rubberband. Oh, I also got a pretty silk peice of ribbon and use it as a place marker. The price was fantastic also. I would HIGHLY recommend this one.Love, love. Love this leather notebook!! Small enough to carry in my purse. Great quality and vibrant color.Very difficult to turn pages.I purchased one of these at a consignment shop in St Helena, CA. I saw it on the shelf, and it caught my eye, although I was not looking for a notebook or memo pad, and orange is not my favorite color. (It's as seen online) But, the quality of workmanship and materials was excellent, even if I knew nothing about the company, so the little orange notebook in perfect condition came home with me for less than $10.00. Once home, I discovered that it was "made in the USA" , which is fantastic! (and rare!) The 7" leather cover fits into my purse, which means that I actually have it with me when the thoughts begin to flow. The lovely, gilt-edged paper inspires me, too, and makes me feel quite regal! I know this will last for years, and I look forward to becoming a regular customer of the Graphic Image Company.
